Sunar Gouranga Temple

This temple is dedicated primarily to Lord Vishnu and also houses revered idols of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, Lord Rama, Lord Jagannath, Goddess Subhadra, Lord Balaram, and Lord Hanuman, making it a spiritually vibrant destination for devotees of the Gaudiya Vaishnava tradition.

The temple, consolidated by the regional Gaudiya Vaishnava community in the 1980s, stands as a modern spiritual hub managed by a local trust.

Its architecture follows a unique style distinct from the traditional Kalinga temples of Puri, offering a serene and welcoming atmosphere for worshippers and visitors alike.

Sunar Gouranga Temple is open daily from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM and again from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, allowing ample opportunity for darshan and participation in daily aarti. Free darshan is available to all devotees.

Poojas and rituals are conducted in Sanskrit, Bengali, and Odia, reflecting the temple’s inclusive ethos. The best time to visit is during the winter months from November to February, or during the early morning and evening aarti sessions for a peaceful and devotional experience.
