About

Sri Srinivasa Mangapuram Temple, also known as Kalyana Venkateswara Temple or Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy Temple, is a revered ancient temple located in Srinivasa Mangapuram, near Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh.

Dedicated primarily to Lord Venkateswara, this temple is an important pilgrimage centre and is recognized as an ASI-protected monument, reflecting its historical significance from the Vijayanagara period and its Dravidian architectural style.

The temple also houses shrines for other deities including Sri Ranganayaka Swami, Sri Padmavathi, Sri Andal, Sri Sakti Vinayaka Swami, Sri Veerabhadra Swami, Sri Avanakshamma, and Sri Parasareswara Swami, making it a spiritually vibrant destination for devotees.

The temple is open for darshan from 5:30 AM to 12:00 PM and again from 5:30 PM to 8:15 PM. Pilgrims can choose from free darshan or opt for Seeghra darshan and Special darshan, with nominal fees of ₹5 and ₹10 respectively.

The best time to visit is during the early morning hours, in the winter months from November to February, or during the festival season, especially the annual Brahmotsavam.

A variety of poojas are performed at Sri Srinivasa Mangapuram Temple, including the Kalyanotsavam from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Arjitha Brahmotsavam at 12:30 PM, and Ekantha Seva at 8:00 PM.

Special weekly rituals such as Visesha Puja on Mondays, Ashtadala Pada Padmaradhana on Tuesdays, Sahasra Kalasabhishekam on Wednesdays, Tiruppavada Seva and Poolangi Seva on Thursdays, and Abhishekam on Fridays add to the temple’s vibrant religious calendar.

The annual Pushpa Yagam is celebrated in March or during the Kartik month. Poojas are conducted in both Sanskrit and Telugu.

Major festivals celebrated here include Sakshatkara Vaibhavotsavams in June-July, the Annual Brahmotsavam in February (Magha month), Vasanthothsavam in the Vaisakha month, Pavithrothsavas in the Sravana month, and Paruveta Utsavam.

During these festivals, devotees can also receive prasadam, and free food (annadanam) is sometimes provided on special occasions.

Reaching the temple is convenient, with local APSRTC buses, auto-rickshaws, and taxis available from Tirupati Railway Station or RTC Bus Stand, taking about 20–30 minutes.

The temple is 12 km from Tirupati Main Railway Station, 15 km from Renigunta Junction, and 14 km from Tirupati International Airport. Ample parking is available, and the temple is easily accessible on flat terrain.
