Ram Raja Temple Orchha

Dedicated primarily to Lord Rama, the temple also enshrines Sita, Lakshmana, Maharaj Sugriva, Narsingh Bhagwan, Hanuman, Jambavan, and Goddess Durga, making it a significant spiritual destination for devotees seeking darshan and blessings from multiple deities.

The temple stands as an ancient and architecturally unique site, built by Queen Ganesh Kunwari (Rani Ganeshkuwari), wife of Raja Madhukar Shah. It holds the distinction of being recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site, drawing pilgrims and tourists alike to its historic heart in Orchha.

Darshan at Ram Raja Temple is available in three entry types: free darshan, special darshan (INR 150), and VIP darshan (INR 250). The temple timings are morning 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM (with closure at 12:30 PM for rituals) and evening 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

Devotees can participate in various poojas, including the Morning Aarti at 8:00 AM, Rajbhog Aarti at 12:30 PM, Sandhya (Evening) Aarti at 8:00 PM, and Biyari (Night) Aarti at 10:30 PM, conducted in Hindi and Sanskrit.

The best time to visit is during winter (November to February), in the morning hours, during evening aarti, or during the festival season.
