Nagapattinam Kayarohana Swami Temple

This ancient temple, set gracefully on a riverbank, is dedicated primarily to Lord Shiva and is celebrated for its Dravidian architectural style. The temple is a vibrant spiritual hub, drawing devotees from across the region for darshan, poojas, and festivals throughout the year.

Within the temple complex, worship is offered not only to Lord Shiva but also to Nilayathakshi Amman, Thyagaraja (a form of Shiva), the deities of the eight directions, Goddess Gajalakshmi, Lord Dakshinamurthi, and the Navagraha. During these times, prasadam such as vibhuti, sandal paste, and special food preparations are distributed, and annadanam is generally managed on-site.
