About

Sri Raghavendra Swamy Mutt Mantralayam, also known locally as Sri Raghavendra Swamy Mutt, Mantralayam Mutt, Raghavendra Math, or SRS Matha, is a revered pilgrimage centre situated on River Road in the Manchala area of Mantralayam, Kurnool district, Andhra Pradesh.

Nestled along the riverbank, this ancient temple draws countless devotees seeking spiritual solace and blessings from Sri Raghavendra Swamy, whose Brindavana is the focal point of worship, along with Lord Hanuman.

The temple is open daily from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM and again from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM, providing ample opportunity for darshan and participation in various poojas.

Early morning visits between 5:00 and 8:00 AM, especially during the winter months from November to February, are considered the best time to experience the serene atmosphere of the mutt.

Devotees can choose from different darshan entry types: free darshan, special darshan (₹300), and VIP darshan (₹1000), catering to diverse preferences and requirements. The daily rituals and poojas are conducted in Sanskrit, Kannada, and Telugu, reflecting the temple’s inclusive spiritual tradition.

Notable poojas include Sankalpa Seva from 5:00 AM to 7:00 AM, General Darshana during the main opening hours, Rathotsava at 6:30 PM, and Padapooja & Vastra Seva. The temple observes several significant festivals throughout the year.

The Raghavendra Swamy Aradhana Mahotsavam in August (Shravana month) is a major event, drawing large gatherings of devotees.

Other important festivals include Hanumadvrata in November, Tulasi Habba and Utthana Dwadashi at the end of Kartika Masam, Dhanurmasa Pujas from mid-December to mid-January, and Makara Sankramana in January.

A strict traditional dress code is enforced: men must remove shirts, vests, and banians before entering the inner sanctum and wear a dhoti, while women are required to wear sarees, half-sarees, or salwar kameez/chudidar with a properly pinned dupatta. Western attire is not permitted.

The mutt provides daily free Annadanam (Teertha Prasada vegetarian meals) to all devotees in spacious dining halls, with Parimala Prasada being a signature offering.

Accommodation and room booking services are managed by the mutt, with details available on the official website (https://srsmatha.org), which also offers online darshan options.

For those arriving by vehicle, paid parking lots and wheelchair-accessible facilities are available outside the main temple complex.

Photography and videography are strictly prohibited within the main prakaram and near the Moola Brindavana sanctum, and mobile phones are not allowed for photos or videos in ritual zones. For more information, bookings, or inquiries, devotees can visit the official website or contact the temple at +919985864887.
