About

Siddhivinayak Temple Prabhadevi, also known as Shree Siddhivinayak Ganapati Mandir, is a renowned pilgrimage centre and ancient temple dedicated to Lord Ganesha in the heart of Mumbai, Maharashtra.

Located in the Prabhadevi area, this temple is a spiritual landmark for devotees seeking blessings from Lord Ganesha, along with Riddhi, Siddhi, and Lord Hanuman. The temple also features depictions of the Ashtavinayaka, adding to its religious significance.

The temple’s architecture showcases a blend of styles, reflecting its mixed and renovated structure from the British colonial era. Built by Laxman Vithu and Deubai Patil, Siddhivinayak Temple stands as a living heritage site managed by a local trust.

Devotees can experience darshan through various entry types: free darshan, special darshan (₹100), and VIP darshan (₹1500), catering to different preferences and needs.

The temple is open from 5:30 AM to 10:00 PM on most days, with extended timings on Tuesdays (3:15 AM to 12:00 AM), making it accessible for early morning and late-night visits.

Poojas at Siddhivinayak Temple are conducted in Sanskrit, Hindi, and Marathi, offering devotees a range of rituals such as Aavartan Shodashopchar Pooja (8:00 AM - 10:00 AM, ₹1001), Ashirvachan Pooja (8:00 AM - 9:00 PM, ₹1500), Shree Satyanarayan Mahapooja (1:00 PM on Mon, Wed, Thu, ₹5001), and Shree Satya Vinayak Mahapooja (1:00 PM on Fridays, ₹5555).

Prasadam, including ladoos, modaks, shira, kumkum, akshata, and durva grass, is distributed to devotees, though there is no regular mass annadanam.

The temple is especially vibrant during festivals such as Ganesh Chaturthi (August-September), Maghi Ganesh Jayanti (January-February), Sankashti Chaturthi, Angarak Chaturthi (monthly), Hanuman Jayanti (April), and Akshaya Tritiya (April-May).

The best time to visit is early morning, during winter months, on weekdays, or during the festive season for a more fulfilling spiritual experience. Reaching Siddhivinayak Temple is convenient via public transport. The nearest railway stations are Prabhadevi (0.8 km) and Dadar (2.2 km).

The Shree Siddhivinayak Metro Station (Line 3) is adjacent to the temple, and Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport is about 11 km away. Due to limited parking, public transport is highly recommended.

The temple provides wheelchair ramps and priority queues for senior citizens, pregnant women, parents with infants, and differently-abled devotees. For accommodation, options like Hotel Kohinoor Park (opposite the temple), Hotel Amigo, Ramee Guestline Hotel Dadar, ITC Grand Central, and The St.

Regis Mumbai are available nearby. Visitors can also explore attractions such as Shivaji Park, Dadar Chowpatty Beach, Worli Sea Face, Bandra-Worli Sea Link, Mahalakshmi Temple, Haji Ali Dargah, and Gateway of India.

Photography is strictly prohibited inside the temple premises, and mobile phones, cameras, and leather items are not allowed inside, with free lockers provided. For more information, online darshan, or pooja bookings, visit the official website or contact the temple directly.
