ISKCON Temple Juhu

Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada and designed by Prem Nath and Associates, stands as a spiritual oasis amidst the bustling city.

The temple is dedicated primarily to Lord Krishna, with beautiful shrines also for Radha, Gaura-Nitai (Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and Nityananda Prabhu), Sita, Rama, Lakshman, and Hanuman, making it a significant destination for devotees seeking darshan and spiritual solace.

The temple’s architecture blends modern and renovated styles, providing a serene environment for worship and reflection. ISKCON Juhu is open daily from 4:30 AM to 1:00 PM and from 4:30 PM to 9:00 PM, with a closure between 1:00 PM and 4:30 PM.

For those planning a visit, the early morning hours (5–8 AM), evening aarti times, the winter months (November to February), and the festival season are considered the best times to experience the temple’s vibrant spiritual atmosphere.

A variety of poojas and sevas are performed throughout the day, including Mangala Arati at 4:30 AM, Tulasi Puja, Sringar Darshan, Guru Puja, and Raj Bhoga Arati.

Special sevas such as Vaikalika Bhoga, Shayana Bhoga, Raja Bhoga, Pushpa Seva, Anna Daan Seva, and Gau Seva are available, with specific offerings and suggested donations. Rituals are conducted in Sanskrit, Hindi, English, and Marathi, catering to a diverse group of devotees.

Free darshan is available to all visitors.

ISKCON Juhu celebrates several major festivals, including Temple Anniversary/Makar Sankranti in January, Gaura Purnima, Rama Navami, Jhulan Yatra/Balaram Purnima, Sri Krishna Janmashtami, Radhashtami, Sri Govardhan Puja/Annakuta, Damodara/Kartik Month, and Gita Jayanti, drawing large numbers of pilgrims.

The temple is easily accessible from Vile Parle (3.2 km), Santacruz (4.5 km), and Andheri (5.5 km) railway stations, as well as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (6–8 km).

On-site parking is extremely limited, especially during peak hours and festivals, but the temple is wheelchair accessible.

Visitors can enjoy daily prasadam, with halava or khichdi offered to all, and affordable sattvic meals at Govinda’s Restaurant on-site. Photography is permitted in outer courtyards and gardens but strictly prohibited inside the main sanctum.
