Pradhanpat Shiva Temple Deogarh

Known locally as Pradhanpat Shiva Temple, Baba Champakeswar Temple, and Champakeswar Shiva Temple, this ancient temple stands as a significant spiritual destination for devotees of Lord Shiva.

The temple also enshrines Goddess Pradhanpateswari (Maa Pradhani), Lord Giri Gobardhan, and Shirdi Sai, making it a unique confluence of devotion.

The temple’s architecture reflects the classic Kalinga style, and its origins trace back to the British colonial era, constructed under the patronage of the rulers of the Bamanda (Bamra) princely state.

Its location adjacent to the scenic Pradhanpat Waterfalls enhances the serene and spiritual ambiance, attracting pilgrims and nature lovers alike. Darshan at Pradhanpat Shiva Temple is open to all, with free entry for devotees.

The temple welcomes visitors daily from 6:00 AM to 12:30 PM and again from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, providing ample opportunity for spiritual seekers to participate in rituals and seek blessings.

Morning Abhishekam, Sandhya Aarti, Rudrabhishek, and Pushpanjali are among the key poojas conducted here, performed in Sanskrit and Odia, allowing devotees to immerse themselves in traditional worship practices.

The temple observes several important festivals, including Maha Shivaratri in February-March, Shravan Month Rituals (Bol Bom / Sompriya) during July-August, and Kartik Purnima in November.
