Hanuman Vatika Rourkela

Also known locally as Hanuman Vatika, Hanuman Garden, or Hanuman Park, this spiritual destination is dedicated primarily to Lord Hanuman and is managed by the Hanuman Vatika Trust Board.

The temple complex features a modern architectural style and is home to a grand Hanuman statue crafted by sculptor Sri Lakshman Swami of Hyderabad. The temple is a vibrant spiritual hub, drawing devotees from across Odisha and beyond.

Besides Lord Hanuman, the complex houses shrines for several other deities, including Batta Mangala Devi, Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra, Subhadra, Dwadash Linga (replicas of the 12 Jyotirlingas), Sarala Devi, Santoshi Mata, Lakshmi, Lord Shiva, Lord Ganesha, Maa Kali, Sherawali (a Vaishno Devi replica), and Sai Baba.

Hanuman Vatika is open daily from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM, allowing ample time for visitors to participate in various poojas and rituals. The temple offers free darshan to all devotees.

Regular poojas include Morning Aarti, Evening Aarti, Hanuman Chalisa Recital, and Special Archana, conducted in Sanskrit and Hindi. After aarti, devotees receive dry prasad such as boondi, sugar crystals, and laddoos.

On special occasions like the annual festival, Hanuman Jayanti, and yajna days, large-scale annadanam is organized, serving food to all visitors.

The temple comes alive during major festivals such as the Annual Foundation / Vishwashanti Mahayajna in February, Hanuman Jayanti in April, Maha Shivaratri, and Navratri.

The best time to visit Hanuman Vatika is during the winter months from November to February or during the evening aarti, when the atmosphere is especially serene and devotional. Reaching Hanuman Vatika is convenient.
