About

Dwaraka Tirumala Venkateswara Temple, also known locally as Chinna Tirupati or Venkateswara Temple, Dwaraka Tirumala, is a revered pilgrimage centre set atop Seshachala Hill in Dwaraka Tirumala, Eluru district, Andhra Pradesh.

This ancient hill temple, celebrated for its Dravidian architecture and spiritual ambiance, is dedicated to Lord Venkateswara, with sanctums also for Padmavathi, Nanchari, and the Alwars. The temple’s living heritage status draws devotees from across the country seeking darshan and blessings.

The temple is open for darshan from 6:00 AM to 1:00 PM and again from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM, making it convenient for pilgrims to plan their visit.

Early mornings (5–8 AM), the winter months from November to February, and the festival season are considered the best times to experience the temple’s vibrant spiritual atmosphere. For darshan, devotees can choose between free entry and a special darshan option for a fee of ₹200.

A variety of poojas are performed daily, including Suprabhata Seva (4:30 AM, and 4:00 AM on weekends), Nitya Arjita Kalyanam at 9:30 AM, Astottara Satanamarchana from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and Swarna Tulasidala Kainkarya Seva at 6:30 AM.

Rituals are conducted in Telugu and Sanskrit, ensuring a traditional experience. Pilgrims can also participate in services like Paroksha Astothara Puja, Garud/Sesha Vahana Seva, Veda Ashirvachanam, Arjitha Brahmotsavam, and Swamy Vari Seva, with specific timings and fees.

Major festivals celebrated here include Swamy Vari Kalyanotsavams (April-May, October-November), Koil Alwar Thirumanjanam (four times a year before major festivals), Makara Sankranti in January, and Vaikunta Ekadasi (Mukkoti) during December-January, drawing large gatherings of devotees.
