Brahma Temple Pushkar

Situated on Brahma Temple Road in the Ganahera/Badi Basti area, near the sacred Pushkar Lake, this temple is a significant spiritual destination for devotees and travelers alike. Its Rajasthani architecture and state heritage status make it a notable landmark in the region.

The temple is dedicated primarily to Lord Brahma, with sanctums also for Gayatri, Goddess Amba, and Lord Shiva. The temple’s spiritual atmosphere is enriched by daily rituals and poojas.

Devotees can participate in Mangala Aarti in the early morning, Sandhya Aarti after sunset, and Ratri Shayan Aarti at night. Special pujas, Pind Daan, and Sankalp are also conducted, with rituals performed in Sanskrit, Hindi, and English to accommodate a wide range of visitors.

Prasadam, including mishri, flowers, and sweets, is distributed after aartis, and during festivals like Kartik Purnima, community kitchens and bhandaras serve free meals to pilgrims.

Early morning (5–8 AM) and evening aarti times are considered the best periods for darshan, especially during winter (November–February) and festival seasons. Entry for darshan is free, ensuring accessibility for all devotees.

Visitors are advised to follow a conservative dress code: men should wear kurta-pyjama or long trousers with shirts covering the shoulders, while women are expected to wear modest attire such as sarees, salwar suits, or kurtis with long pants or skirts.

Shorts and sleeveless tops are discouraged for both genders. To reach the Brahma Temple, travelers can arrive in Pushkar via NH 58 from Ajmer, proceed to Brahma Temple Road, and park at designated lots on the town’s edge.

The temple is accessible by walking or auto-rickshaw through the bustling market, approximately 200–300 meters from the parking area.

The nearest railway stations are Pushkar Terminus (3 km) and Ajmer Junction (14 km), while Kishangarh Airport (40 km) and Jaipur International Airport (150 km) are the closest airports.
