Chandrabhaga Temples Jhalrapatan

Revered primarily for its dedication to Lord Shiva, the temple complex is also home to shrines for other deities including Harihara, Lakulish, Kalika Devi, Navadurga, Ganesh, and Mahishasuramardini, making it a significant spiritual destination for devotees of various Hindu traditions.

Known locally by several names such as Sitaleshwar Mahadeva Temple, Chandramouleshwar Mahadeo, Chandrabhaga Temple Complex, and Chandravati, this site stands out for its Nagara (North Indian) architectural style.

The temples are recognized as ASI-protected monuments, reflecting their historical and cultural value. While the exact historical period remains disputed, the complex is commonly linked with early medieval ruling dynasties, particularly the Gurjara-Pratihara period.

Pilgrims can visit the Chandrabhaga Temples Jhalrapatan daily from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Free darshan is available for all visitors, and daily aarti as well as general worship and individual prayers are conducted in Sanskrit and Hindi.

The best times to visit are during the winter months (November to February), during the festival season, early mornings between 5–8 AM, or at the time of evening aarti for a serene spiritual experience.
