This temple is dedicated to Goddess Shakti, drawing devotees from across India who seek blessings and darshan in this spiritually charged environment.

The temple is also associated with several other deities, including Ashtabhuja Devi (Mahasaraswati), Kali (at Kali Khoh), Sita Kund, Lal Bhairav, Kal Bhairav, Ekdant Ganesh, and Sakshi Gopal, making it a significant destination for those interested in the diverse traditions of Hindu worship.

The Vindhyachal Vindhyavasini Temple is recognized as a living heritage temple and is renowned for its vibrant religious activities.

The temple opens daily as early as 4:00 or 5:00 AM and remains accessible until midnight, providing ample opportunity for devotees to participate in various rituals and poojas.

Key poojas include Mangala Aarti at 4:00 AM, Shayan Aarti at 12:00 Noon, Sandhya Aarti at 7:30 PM, and Nisha Aarti at 9:30 PM. Special rituals such as Rudrabhishek and Shringar, Abhishekam, Bhog are also performed, with poojas conducted in Sanskrit and Hindi.

Free darshan is available for all visitors, and the temple recommends modest, traditional attire for both men and women, though there is no strict enforcement.

The temple comes alive during major festivals such as Navratri (Chaitra and Ashwin), Kajali Mahotsav in June, Savan Mela in August-September, Vaman Ekadashi Mela, and Shitla Devi Mela, attracting thousands of pilgrims.
