About

Tulsi Manas Temple, also known as Tulsi Manas Mandir or Shri Satyanarayan Tulsi Manas Temple, is a prominent pilgrimage centre located in the Durgakund, Anandbagh, Bhelupur area of Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh.

Dedicated primarily to Lord Rama, the temple also houses idols of Sita, Lakshmana, Hanuman, and a statue of Tulsidas.

This modern temple, built by a philanthropic family from Varanasi, stands as a living heritage temple and attracts devotees and visitors seeking spiritual solace and cultural enrichment.

The temple is open daily from 5:30 AM to 12:00 PM and again from 3:30 PM to 9:00 PM, allowing ample opportunity for darshan. Entry for darshan is free, making it accessible to all pilgrims.

The best times to visit are early in the morning between 5 and 8 AM, during the evening aarti, or in the winter months from November to February when the weather is pleasant. The temple observes a modest dress code for both men and women, requiring attire that covers shoulders and knees.

Daily aarti is performed in the evening, with rituals conducted in Hindi and Sanskrit.

The temple comes alive during major festivals such as Ram Navami (March-April), the Sawan Festival (July-August), and Deepavali (October-November), when special bhog is offered and prasadam, typically sweets or sugar candies, is distributed after the evening aarti.
