About

Sri Nettikanti Anjaneya Swamy Temple Kasapuram stands as a revered pilgrimage centre in Kasapuram Village, near Guntakal in the Ananthapuramu district of Andhra Pradesh.

Dedicated primarily to Lord Hanuman, also known locally as Kasapuram Anjaneya Swamy or Nettikallu Anjaneya Swamy, this ancient temple is a significant spiritual destination for devotees across the region.

Alongside Lord Hanuman, the temple also houses shrines for Lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu, and Goddess Lakshmi, making it a confluence of devotion for followers of various Hindu traditions.

The temple’s architecture reflects the classic Dravidian style, with its origins tracing back to the Vijayanagara period. It was consecrated by Sri Vyasaraja Tirtha and later expanded under the patronage of the Vijayanagara Empire.

Managed by a local panchayat trust, the temple has maintained its heritage and continues to attract pilgrims seeking blessings and spiritual solace.

Devotees can participate in various poojas, with the Early Morning Nijaroopa Darshanam held from 5:00 AM to 5:30 AM, and the Maha Mangala Harathi taking place at 8:30 PM. Rituals are conducted in Telugu and Sanskrit, preserving the temple’s traditional roots.

Darshan is accessible through free entry, as well as special darshan tickets priced at ₹10 and ₹50, catering to different preferences for devotees. The temple operates daily from 4:15 AM to 12:30 PM and 2:00 PM to 8:30 PM, with extended hours on Fridays and Saturdays up to midnight.

The best time to visit is during the early morning hours between 5 and 8 AM, particularly in the winter months from November to February or on weekdays to avoid crowds.

The temple is especially vibrant during the festival season, with major celebrations such as the Annual Chariot Parade held the day after Telugu New Year and Hanuman Jayanthi during Shravana Masam (July–August).

Reaching the temple is convenient: visitors can arrive at Guntakal town by train or bus, then travel approximately 5 km by auto or taxi to Kasapuram Village. Guntakal Junction is the nearest railway station, just 5 km away.

Accommodation is available in Guntakal town for those wishing to stay overnight. The temple enforces a traditional dress code: men are expected to wear dhoti and kurta or formal attire, while women should opt for saree, half-saree, or salwar kameez with a dupatta.

Dedicated open parking zones are available for both two-wheelers and four-wheelers, and the premises are wheelchair accessible. Photography is strictly prohibited inside the main temple and near the sanctum, with a deposit counter for electronics at the entrance. For further information, devotees may contact the temple at +91 85522 26714.
