Rukmini Devi Temple Dwarka

Dedicated primarily to Goddess Shakti (Amman), with Amba Devi also worshipped here, this temple is a significant spiritual destination for devotees visiting the sacred city of Dwarka.

The temple is renowned for its Nagara (North Indian) architectural style and is recognized as an ASI-protected heritage site. Its origins are attributed to Solanki dynasty traditions, though specific royal patrons remain unknown.

The temple’s serene setting, just 2-3 km from the main Dwarkadhish Temple, makes it a convenient stop for pilgrims exploring the holy sites of Dwarka. Darshan at Rukmini Devi Temple is free for all visitors, with no entry fee.

The temple is open from 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM and again from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with timings sometimes extending to 9:00 PM during certain seasons. The best time to visit is early morning between 5–8 AM, during the winter months (November to February), or in the festival season.

Devotees are encouraged to adhere to the temple’s dress code: men should wear traditional or modest conservative clothing such as full-length trousers, dhotis, or kurta pajamas, while women are advised to wear sarees, salwar kameez, or long kurtas with dupattas.

Reaching the temple is straightforward: arrive in Dwarka city by road, rail, or air, then proceed on the Dwarka-Okha Highway (NH 51) towards Okha.

The temple is about 2-3 km from the Dwarkadhish Temple, accessible by auto-rickshaw, taxi, or private vehicle, with the journey taking less than 10 minutes. Dwarka Railway Station is 5 km away, while Okha Railway Station is 27.5 km distant.
