About

Kondagattu Anjaneya Swami Temple is a renowned ancient hill temple and pilgrimage centre dedicated primarily to Lord Hanuman. Located atop the scenic Kondagattu Hillock in Muthyampeta, Jagtial district, Andhra Pradesh, this temple is also locally known as Kondagattu Anjaneya Swamy Temple.

Alongside Lord Hanuman, devotees can also offer prayers to Lord Venkateswara, Goddess Alwaarula, and Goddess Lakshmi within the temple complex.

The temple is accessible daily with darshan timings from 4:00 AM to 1:30 PM and again from 3:00 PM to 8:30 PM, allowing pilgrims to plan their visit conveniently.

For those seeking a peaceful experience, the best time to visit is during the early morning hours between 5 and 8 AM, during the evening aarti, or in the winter months from November to February. Weekdays are generally less crowded, making them ideal for a serene darshan.

Devotees can participate in various poojas such as Suprabhatha Seva, Abhishekam, Archana, Nitya Haarati, Satyanarayana Vratham, Hanuman Chalisa Recital, and the 40-Day Deeksha Prayer. Rituals are conducted in Telugu and Hindi, catering to a broad spectrum of pilgrims.

Darshan options include free entry or a special darshan for a nominal fee of INR 30. The temple celebrates several important festivals, including Hanuman Jayanti (May-June), Sri Rama Navami, Makar Sankranti (January), Ratha Saptami (February), and Vaikunta Ekadashi (December-January).

Special prasadam is distributed, and Annadanam (free food) is offered by the temple trust, enhancing the spiritual experience for visitors. Reaching the temple is straightforward.

From Hyderabad, take NH44 north towards Karimnagar, then follow Jagtial road (SH 563) to Kondagattu, covering approximately 178 km. From Karimnagar, it is a 39 km drive north, while from Jagtial, the temple is just 14 km away and accessible by bus or taxi.
