Kalaram Temple

Dedicated primarily to Lord Rama, the temple also houses sanctums for Goddess Sita, Lord Lakshmana, Lord Hanuman, and Lord Dattatreya, making it a significant spiritual destination for devotees seeking darshan and blessings from the revered deities.

The temple, built during the Maratha period by Sardar Rangarao Odhekar, stands as a living heritage temple managed by a local panchayat trust. Its unique architectural style and historical significance draw pilgrims and visitors throughout the year.

The temple is open daily from 5:30 AM to 10:00 PM, allowing ample opportunity for devotees to participate in various poojas and rituals.

The daily schedule includes Kakad Aarti (5:30 AM – 6:30 AM), Sanai Vadan & Bhupali (7:00 AM – 8:00 AM), Mangala Aarti (8:00 AM – 10:00 AM), Mahanyasa Pooja and Maha Aarti (10:30 AM – 1:00 PM), Bhajans (3:00 PM – 5:00 PM), Shej Aarti (7:00 PM – 8:00 PM), and Kirtan (8:00 PM – 10:00 PM).

Poojas are conducted in Marathi and Sanskrit, maintaining the temple’s traditional spiritual atmosphere. Entry for darshan at Kalaram Temple is free.

Devotees are requested to adhere to the dress code: men should wear traditional or formal conservative clothing such as dhotis, kurtas, or trousers with shirts, while women are encouraged to wear sarees, salwar kameez, or kurtis. Revealing attire is not permitted.

The best time to visit is during winter (November to February), early mornings (5–8 AM), evening aarti, or during the festival season. Major festivals celebrated here include Ram Navami & Ram Navratra (March–April), Chaitra Padwa / Gudi Padwa (March–April), and Dussehra (October).

Reaching the temple is convenient: arrive in Nashik city by bus, train, or air. From the Nashik Central Bus Stand, Panchavati is just 2.5–3 km north. Local transport is available towards Sita Gufaa Road or Ramkund area.

Larger vehicles can be parked near Dahi Pool parking area, about 300–400 meters from the temple entrance. Nashik Road Railway Station is 10 km away, while Nashik Airport is 16 km from the temple.

Accommodation options are plentiful, with hotels like Panchavati Yatri, New Uttam Hira Palace, and Courtyard by Marriott Nashik nearby, as well as several dharamshalas and guesthouses within walking distance.

Visitors can also explore nearby attractions such as Ramkund, Kapaleshwar Mahadev Temple, Sita Gufa, Sundarnarayan Temple, and Sula Vineyards. Photography is not allowed inside the inner sanctum or main temple complex.
