Kadammanitta Devi Temple

This ancient temple, built in the distinctive Kerala architectural style, is dedicated primarily to Goddess Shakti (Amman), with sanctums also for Lord Shiva, Lord Krishna, and Mala Deva. The temple holds a special place among devotees seeking darshan and spiritual solace in the region.

The temple is open for darshan daily from 5:00 AM to 9:00 AM and again from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The best times to visit include the early morning hours, the morning period from 8 AM to 12 PM, and during the evening aarti.

The winter months from November to February and the festival seasons, especially during the annual brahmotsavam, are particularly auspicious for pilgrims.

Kadammanitta Devi Temple is renowned for its vibrant festivals, especially the Kadammanitta Padayani & Pathamudaya Maholsavam, celebrated in April–May during the Malayalam month of Medam. The festival features grand rituals and a spectacular annadanam, drawing devotees from across Kerala.

Vishu, the traditional New Year festival in April, is also observed with devotion. Regular poojas such as Archana, Pushpanjali, Nivedyam, and special lamp offerings are conducted in Sanskrit and Malayalam, allowing devotees to participate in the spiritual traditions of the temple.

Free darshan is available to all visitors, making it accessible to pilgrims from all walks of life. Devotees are requested to adhere to the traditional dress code: men should wear a Kerala mundu (dhoti), and shirts are discouraged or prohibited inside the inner sanctum.

Women are expected to wear saree, skirt and blouse, or salwar kameez/churidar with dupatta, while western or revealing attire is not permitted.
