About

ISKCON Sri Radha Krishna Temple, also known locally as ISKCON Bangalore or Sri Radha Krishna Temple on Hare Krishna Hill, is a prominent pilgrimage centre and hill temple located in Rajajinagar, Bengaluru, Karnataka.

Built by the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), this modern and renovated temple stands as a living heritage temple, drawing devotees and visitors from across India and the world.

The temple’s primary deity is Lord Krishna, and the sanctum also enshrines Radha, Sri Nitai Gauranga, Sri Srinivasa Govinda, Sri Prahlada Narasimha, and Sri Hanuman.

The temple’s architecture blends traditional and contemporary styles, creating a serene and spiritual atmosphere atop Hare Krishna Hill.

Visitors can participate in darshan and poojas conducted in Sanskrit, Kannada, and English, making the spiritual experience accessible to devotees from various backgrounds. ISKCON Sri Radha Krishna Temple is open for darshan from 7:15 AM to 1:00 PM and again from 4:15 PM to 8:20 PM.

Entry for darshan is free. The best times to visit include early mornings between 5–8 AM, during the morning hours, winter months from November to February, evening aarti time, and throughout the festival season.

Major festivals celebrated here include Sri Gaura Purnima (February-March), Sri Rama Navami (March-April), and Brahmotsava. Devotees are requested to observe a conservative dress code; traditional or formal attire is recommended for both men and women, and shorts should be avoided.

Daily free lunch prasadam is offered to all visitors, upholding the temple’s tradition of annadanam. Reaching ISKCON Bangalore is convenient. The temple is about 7–8 km from Bengaluru city center.

Visitors can take the Namma Metro Green Line to Sandal Soap Factory or Mahalakshmi station, followed by a 10-minute walk. Several BMTC bus routes from Kempegowda Bus Station (Majestic) stop at Mahalakshmi Layout Entrance.

Yeshwantpur Junction (2.2 km) and KSR Bengaluru City Railway Station (6.9 km) are the nearest railway stations, while Kempegowda International Airport is 33 km away. Parking is available at the temple, though some walking is required due to its hilltop location.

Accommodation options include the ISKCON Guest House on-site, as well as numerous mid-range and budget hotels in Rajajinagar, Yeshwanthpur, and Malleshwaram.

Nearby attractions include Orion Mall & World Trade Center, Bangalore Palace, Shivoham Shiva Temple, Bull Temple (Nandi Temple), and ISKCON Vaikuntha Hill.
