Halasuru Someshwara Temple

Dedicated primarily to Lord Shiva, the temple also enshrines Goddess Parvati and Kamakshamma, attracting devotees seeking spiritual solace and blessings in this historic sanctuary.

The temple is renowned for its Dravidian architecture, reflecting its origins during the Chola period and subsequent renovations by Kempegowda I and the Vijayanagara kings.

Reaching the temple is convenient via the Bengaluru Metro Purple Line; alight at Halasuru Metro Station and walk 300–500 meters to the entrance. Car parking is extremely limited, so using metro station parking or nearby areas is recommended.

The temple is also accessible from Bengaluru Cantonment and Bengaluru City Junction railway stations, and Kempegowda International Airport is the nearest airport. Accommodation options are plentiful in the Halasuru and MG Road areas.
