Hatakeswar Temple Atri

This significant pilgrimage centre is situated in the village of Atri, Baghamari area, within Khordha district, Odisha.

Set along a riverbank, the temple is renowned for its serene location and the distinct Kalinga architectural style, making it a sought-after destination for devotees and visitors seeking spiritual solace.

The temple welcomes visitors daily, with darshan timings from 4:00 AM to 2:00 PM and again from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Free darshan is available for all devotees, allowing easy access to the sanctum for prayers and offerings.

The Mahakaleshwar puja, a significant ritual, is conducted at 5:00 PM in Sanskrit, drawing devotees who wish to participate in the spiritual ambiance of the evening prayers.

Shorts and sleeveless tops are discouraged to maintain the sanctity of the temple premises. Reaching Hatakeswar Temple is convenient from Bhubaneswar or Khordha.

Pilgrims can arrive by air at Biju Patnaik International Airport (40 km away) or by train at Khordha Road Junction (23 km) or Bhubaneswar Railway Station (42 km).

From these points, local taxis, auto-rickshaws, or state buses can be taken to Khordha town, followed by a further journey to Atri via Baghamari. The temple is located close to the famous Atri Hot Water Spring, making it a dual attraction for visitors.
