Hariyali Devi Temple

This ancient hill temple, recognized as a Shakti Peetha, draws devotees and pilgrims seeking spiritual solace amidst the tranquil Himalayan landscape. The temple is situated in the Jasoli/Syund/Bhunka area, accessible via a scenic route from Rishikesh or Haridwar.

Pilgrims can reach Rishikesh or Haridwar by train or road, or fly into Dehradun’s Jolly Grant Airport. From Rishikesh, a drive along NH 7 leads to Rudraprayag, followed by a journey towards Nagrasu and a diversion to Jasoli village.

The final stretch involves a trek along local walking tracks, offering panoramic views and a peaceful approach to the shrine. The nearest railway stations are Yog Nagri Rishikesh (182 km) and Haridwar Junction (209 km), while Jolly Grant Airport is about 199 km away.

Hariyali Devi Temple is open daily from 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with seasonal closure during the core winter months. The best time to visit is in the morning between 8 AM and 12 PM, during the pleasant months of winter (November to February), summer (March to May), or the vibrant festival season.

The temple observes a modest dress code: men are expected to wear traditional or conservative attire such as kurta-pajama or full-length trousers and shirts, while women are encouraged to wear sarees, salwar kameez, or full suits, with western or revealing outfits discouraged.

Devotees can participate in daily aarti and traditional rituals, with poojas conducted in Sanskrit and Hindi. Free darshan is available for all visitors.

Simple prasad like dry fruits, sweets, and mishri is distributed, though there is no daily annadanam facility. Photography is strictly prohibited inside the sanctum, but casual photography is permitted in the outer premises and landscape, except during prayers or aartis.

Parking is limited, especially during major fairs, requiring visitors to park further down and trek uphill; the route is not wheelchair accessible due to the steep climb.
