Gwarighat Narmada Temple

This ancient temple, with its mixed and renovated architectural style, stands as a living heritage site under the stewardship of local trusts and panchayats, reflecting continuous regional patronage and community revival.

The temple’s primary deity is Goddess Shakti (Amman), and devotees also worship Lord Shiva, Lord Ganesha, Lord Hanuman, Ram Darbar, Goddess Durga, and Khermai within its sanctum.

The temple is especially popular for its serene riverfront setting and spiritual ambiance, drawing pilgrims and visitors seeking darshan, pooja, and tranquil moments by the sacred Narmada. Gwarighat Narmada Temple welcomes devotees daily from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM.

Western wear, shorts, and sleeveless attire are not permitted, especially near the inner sanctum. Reaching the temple is convenient—arrive in Jabalpur by train, air, or bus, then take Gwarighat Main Road southeast towards the Narmada River.
