Dedicated primarily to Lord Murugan, the temple also houses shrines for Lord Shiva, Goddess Parvati, and Lord Ganesha, making it a significant spiritual destination for devotees seeking darshan and blessings from multiple deities.

Daily poojas include Usha Pooja (early morning), Pantheeradi Pooja (morning), Uchcha Pooja (midday), and Athazha Pooja (evening/night).

Special offerings such as Pushpanjali (₹10), Ganapathy Homam, Alankara Pooja, and Ashtadravya Ganapathy Havanam are performed in Sanskrit and Malayalam, catering to the spiritual needs of devotees.

The temple is especially vibrant during the Cherai Pooram (Annual Festival/Thiruvutsavam) held in late January to early February (Makaram month), and the Kavadi Utsavam during the festival period.

Visitors are required to follow a traditional dress code: men should wear a Kerala dhoti (mundu), with shirts or kurthas permitted inside, while women are expected to wear a saree, traditional skirt and blouse, or modest churidar/salwar kameez with dupatta.
