About

Tuwa Timba Temple, also known locally as Tuwa Timba, Tuva Timba, Tuva Timba Fagvel, Garam Pani Kund, Hot Water Natural Kunds, and Ram Kund, is a revered Hindu pilgrimage centre nestled on the riverbank in Tuwa village, near Godhra in Panchmahal district, Gujarat.

This ancient temple, with its mixed and renovated architectural style, is dedicated primarily to Lord Shiva. The sanctum also houses shrines for Lord Rama, Sita, Lakshmana, Sheetala Mata, and Dashama, making it a spiritual destination for devotees of multiple deities.

The temple is open daily from 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and visitors are encouraged to come during the early morning hours (5–8 AM) for a serene darshan experience.

The winter months from November to February and the monsoon season between June and September are considered the best times to visit, when the surroundings are especially tranquil and pleasant.

Traditional or modest attire is recommended for both men and women, with specific guidelines encouraging sarees, salwar kameez, or full-length trousers and kurtas to maintain the sanctity of the premises. Darshan at Tuwa Timba Temple is free for all devotees.

Daily darshan and aarti are conducted at no cost, and special abhishek and poojas, such as Jalabhishek, are also performed. Rituals and prayers are conducted in Gujarati, Hindi, and Sanskrit, allowing pilgrims from different regions to participate comfortably.

After aartis, dry sweets or fruit prasad are distributed, and on festival days or full moon gatherings, community meals (Annadanam) are occasionally organized.

The temple celebrates several vibrant festivals, including Kartik Purnima in November, Mahavir Jayanti in April, Diwaliben/New Year during October or November, and the auspicious Shravan Month in July and August.

These occasions draw devotees from nearby towns and villages, creating a lively spiritual atmosphere. Reaching Tuwa Timba Temple is convenient. From Godhra, just 15 km away, visitors can take the Godhra-Dakor Road or head southwest towards Vejalpur/Tuwa.

The temple is easily accessible from Ahmedabad (125 km) and Vadodara (75 km) via state or national highways, with Tuwa situated just off NH 47. Local auto-rickshaws and state transport buses are available from Godhra or Halol.

The nearest railway stations are Champaner Road Junction (8 km), Godhra Junction (15 km), and Sevaliya Railway Station (25 km). For air travel, Vadodara Airport is 50 km away, while Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad is 125 km from the temple.

While basic lodging is available in Tuwa village, pilgrims seeking more comfortable accommodation can find better options in Halol and Pavagadh, including Vikrama Heritage Resort, Champaner Heritage Resort, and Hotel Sarvottam, all within a 20–30 km radius.

Parking is available on open local grounds near the temple entrance, though the area is semi-rural and lacks advanced accessibility infrastructure.

Photography is permitted in the outer courtyards and around the hot springs, but visitors are advised to avoid taking photos of personal rituals or inside private sanctums without permission.

Nearby attractions include the Garam Pani Kund (Tuwa Hot Springs) adjacent to the temple, Bhim Ni Chori just 200 meters away, and the renowned Champaner-Pavagadh Archaeological Park, Khuniya Mahadev Waterfall, and Hathni Mata Waterfall within a short drive, making Tuwa Timba Temple an ideal spiritual and cultural destination in Gujarat.
