About

The temple is known locally by several names, including Turtia Mata, Raj Rajeshwari Tripura Sundari, Umrai Mata, and Tartai Mata, reflecting the deep spiritual significance it holds for devotees in the region.

This ancient temple, though its historical period is unknown or disputed, continues to attract pilgrims throughout the year. The temple’s architecture follows a unique style distinct from the mainstream, adding to its charm and spiritual ambience.

The best time to visit is during the winter months from November to February, especially in the morning hours between 8 AM and 12 PM, or during the vibrant festival season.

The temple comes alive during major festivals such as Chaitra Navratra Parv (March-April), Ashwin Navratri Parv (September-October), Kartiki Purnima (November), Shukla Paksh Ashtami, Shravan Maas (July-August), and Diwali (October-November), drawing large numbers of devotees seeking blessings.

Daily worship rituals at Tripura Sundari Temple include Abhishek, Shringar, and Pujan, performed in the early morning (Summer: 5:00-6:00 AM, Winter: 5:30-7:00 AM).

Mangla Aarti takes place at 6:00 AM in summer and 7:00 AM in winter, while Sandhya Aarti is held at 7:15 PM in summer and 6:30 PM in winter. The Bhog-Aarati is also conducted as part of the temple’s daily pooja schedule. Reaching the temple is convenient for pilgrims.
