Sundareswara Temple Kannur

Dedicated primarily to Lord Shiva, this temple also houses sanctums for Lord Ganapathy, Lord Ayyappan, Goddess Kali, Bhadrakali, Nagam, Shani, and features a sanctum/statue of Sree Narayana Guru, who is also the temple’s founder.

Visitors are requested to follow the traditional dress code: men are preferred to wear Kerala mundu (dhoti) and be bare-chested in inner areas, while women should wear saree, long skirt with blouse, or modest salwar kameez/churidar with dupatta.

Western attire such as shorts, tight leggings, or sleeveless tops is discouraged. Reaching the temple is easy: from Kannur town center or Kannur New Bus Stand (Thavakkara), head towards Talap via Talap-Sundareswara Temple Road.
