About

Sri Narasimha Swami Temple Yadagirigutta, also known locally as Yadadri, Yadagirigutta, Pancha Narasimha Kshetram, and Rishi Aradhana Kshetram, is a renowned hill temple and pilgrimage centre situated in Yadagirigutta, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district, Andhra Pradesh.

Dedicated to Lord Vishnu in his Narasimha avatar, the temple is an ancient site with architectural features in the Dravidian style and has historical roots tracing back to the Vijayanagara period.

The temple is associated with sage Yadarishi and has received patronage from local chieftains and the Vijayanagara dynasty, making it a living heritage and state heritage temple.

The temple enshrines Lord Vishnu and features five forms of Narasimha: Jwala Narasimha, Yogananda Narasimha, Gandabherunda Narasimha, Ugra Narasimha, and Lakshmi Narasimha.

Pilgrims can participate in various poojas such as Suprabhatam (3:30 AM – 4:00 AM), Nijabhishekam (5:15 AM – 6:15 AM), Thomala Seva (6:00 AM – 6:30 AM), and daily Satyanarayana Swamy Vratham.

Special poojas include Tiruppavada Seva on Thursdays, Mahalakshmi Kumkumarchana on Fridays, and Vasanthotsavam on Saturdays. Kalyanotsavam is performed daily with a fee of ₹1250, while Abhishekam and Archana are available for ₹250 and ₹216 respectively. Rituals are conducted in Sanskrit and Telugu.

Devotees can avail themselves of several darshan options, including free darshan and Seeghra darshan (₹25, ₹50, ₹100), special darshan (₹300, ₹500), and VIP darshan (₹150). The temple is open daily from 4:00 AM to 9:00 PM or 9:45 PM, with a lunch/rest break from 1:30 PM to 2:30/3:00 PM.

Early morning (5–8 AM) and the winter months (November to February) are considered the best times to visit. Dress code is strictly enforced: men are required to wear dhoti, white lungi with Uthareeyam, or trousers/kurta, while women should wear saree, salwar suit with chunni, or other modest attire.

Shorts, jeans, T-shirts, skirts, and revealing outfits are not permitted. Reaching Yadagirigutta is convenient via the Hyderabad-Warangal Highway (NH163) and Bhongir-Yadagirigutta Road. State buses (TGSRTC) operate from Hyderabad’s Jubilee and Mahatma Gandhi Bus Stations.

The nearest railway stations are Yadadri (Raigiri) at 3 km and Bhongir at 13 km, while Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (Hyderabad) is 90 km away. Local autos and free temple shuttles are available from the bus stand or hill base to the temple top.
