About

Sri Narasimha Swami Temple Yadagirigutta, also known locally as Yadadri or Pancha Narasimha Kshetram, is a revered hill temple and pilgrimage centre located in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district, Telangana.

Dedicated to Lord Vishnu in his Narasimha avatar, the temple stands as a significant spiritual destination, attracting devotees from across India.

The temple complex is renowned for its Dravidian architecture and its status as a living heritage and state heritage site, with historical roots tracing back to the Vijayanagara period and associations with sage Yadarishi and local chieftains.

The temple enshrines multiple forms of Lord Narasimha, including Jwala Narasimha, Yogananda Narasimha, Gandabherunda Narasimha, Ugra Narasimha, and Lakshmi Narasimha, making it a unique spiritual hub.

Devotees can participate in a variety of poojas such as Suprabhatam (3:30 AM – 4:00 AM), Nijabhishekam (5:15 AM – 6:15 AM), Thomala Seva, Tiruppavada Seva (Thursday mornings), Mahalakshmi Kumkumarchana (Friday evenings), and Vasanthotsavam (Saturday mornings).

Daily rituals like Satyanarayana Swamy Vratham, Kalyanotsavam, Abhishekam, and Archana are also performed, with poojas conducted in Sanskrit and Telugu. Special poojas such as Kalyanotsavam and Abhishekam are available for a fee.

The temple is open daily from 4:00 AM to 9:00 or 9:45 PM, with a lunch/rest break in the afternoon. The best time for darshan is early morning between 5–8 AM or during the winter months from November to February.

Multiple darshan options cater to different needs, including free darshan, Seeghra darshan (₹25, ₹50, ₹100), Special darshan (₹300, ₹500), and VIP darshan (₹150).

Dress code is strictly enforced: men are required to wear dhoti, white lungi with Uthareeyam, or trousers/kurta, while women should wear saree, salwar suit with chunni, or other modest attire.

Reaching Yadagirigutta is convenient via the Hyderabad-Warangal Highway (NH163), with state buses (TGSRTC) running from Hyderabad’s major bus stations.

The nearest railway stations are Yadadri (Raigiri) at 3 km and Bhongir at 13 km, while Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad is about 90 km away.

From the base, local autos and free temple shuttles transport pilgrims to the hilltop, where dedicated parking, free buggies for the elderly and specially-abled, and TSRTC buses are available.

Accommodation options include temple cottages, YTDA guest houses, and private hotels and lodges in Yadagirigutta. The temple offers daily free Annadanam and prasadam such as Yadagirigutta Laddu, Pulihara, and Vada.

Photography is not permitted inside the main temple premises, and mobile phones and cameras are restricted near the sanctum. Major festivals celebrated here include Yadadri Brahmotsavam (Phalguna), Narasimha Jayanti (May), Tholi Ekadashi Utsavam (Ashadha), Dasara, and Diwali.
