Sri Mallikarjuna Swami Temple Swayambhu

Revered as both a Jyotirlinga and a Shakti Peetha, this ancient temple is dedicated primarily to Lord Shiva, with Goddess Parvati and Goddess Bhramaramba also worshipped within its sanctum.

The temple is also known by several local names, including Srisailam, Srigiri, Sirigiri, Sriparvatam, Srinagam, and Mallikarjuna Swami Temple, reflecting its deep-rooted significance in the region.

The temple’s architecture showcases the grandeur of Dravidian style, and its location on the banks of the River Krishna adds to its spiritual ambiance. Pilgrims can visit the temple during its open hours from 4:30 AM to 3:30 PM and again from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

Reaching Srisailam is convenient via road from Hyderabad (215 km via NH 765) and Kurnool (180 km via Atmakur-Srisailam Highway). The nearest railway stations are Markapur Road (90 km), Nandyal (160 km), and Kurnool (180 km).
