Peddamma Thalli Temple

Recognized as an ancient village temple and a significant pilgrimage centre, it is a living heritage site that draws devotees from across the region.

The temple’s Dravidian architecture and its deep-rooted connection with the local community, having been built during the era of the Nizam rulers, add to its spiritual and cultural significance.

The temple is home to the worship of Goddess Shakti, along with other local village deities such as Sri Ammavaru and Sri Gauramma. Devotees can participate in various poojas including Kumkumarchana and Archana, both available for a nominal fee of ₹20, as well as the Vehicle (Vahana) Pooja for ₹50.

Darshan at Peddamma Thalli Temple is accessible to all, with both free darshan and a special darshan option (₹20) available. Poojas are conducted in Telugu, Sanskrit, Hindi, and English, making the rituals accessible to a diverse range of pilgrims.

The temple is open every day from 6:00 AM to 1:00 PM and again from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with extended hours until 8:30 PM on Sundays and festival days. The best time to visit is early morning between 5–8 AM, during the winter months (November to February), or during the vibrant festival season.

Major festivals celebrated here include Bonalu in Ashada (June-July), Peddamma Thalli Jatara/Rathotsavam in Magha (February), and Dasara/Sharad Navaratri in September-October.

Reaching the temple is convenient: it is just 200–300 meters from the Peddamma Gudi Metro Station on the Hyderabad Metro Blue Line. Buses connect to Jubilee Hills Check Post or Road No. 36, from where the temple is a short walk or auto-rickshaw ride away.

Cabs and auto-rickshaws are readily available throughout Hyderabad. The nearest railway stations are Hyderabad Deccan (10 km), Kacheguda (12 km), and Secunderabad Junction (13 km). Rajiv Gandhi International Airport is about 32 km from the temple.

Pilgrims can also enjoy daily anna prasadam (free food), with tokens for prasadam items like Pulihora, Vada, and Laddu available at counters. Photography is strictly prohibited inside the main sanctum and inner temple premises.

Limited parking is available, though it can be congested during peak times.
