Kalika Mata Temple Chittorgarh

This temple is situated within the historic Chittorgarh Fort in Rajasthan, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and an ASI-protected monument. The temple stands as a prominent pilgrimage centre and is renowned for its Nagara (North Indian) architectural style, drawing devotees and history enthusiasts alike.

Located on the central plateau of Chittorgarh Fort, the temple is easily accessible from Chittaurgarh Junction Railway Station, which is about 7 km away, and Chanderiya Station at 10 km. Visitors can reach the temple by hiring an auto-rickshaw, taxi, or renting a two-wheeler from Chittorgarh city. The journey involves a scenic uphill drive through the fort’s main gates, followed by a short walk along stone pathways from the designated parking zones near the fort’s central monuments.

Kalika Mata Temple is open for darshan from 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with free entry for all devotees. Morning and evening darshan are popular, and special poojas such as Navratri Special Yagna & Puja are conducted, especially during the festival seasons.

Rituals and prayers are performed in Sanskrit and Hindi.
