About

Gudem Satyanarayana Swamy Temple, also locally known as Gudem Gutta and often referred to as the “Annavaram of Telangana” or “Second Annavaram,” is a revered pilgrimage centre nestled in the scenic village of Gudem, Dandepally Mandal, Mancherial district, Telangana.

Situated atop a picturesque hill and along the riverbank, this temple draws devotees seeking the blessings of Lord Vishnu, the primary deity, as well as Lord Ayyappa and Panchamukha Anjaneya Swamy.

Its unique mixed and renovated architectural style, coupled with its tranquil natural surroundings, make it a significant spiritual destination for pilgrims and visitors alike.

The temple operates daily with timings from 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM and again from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, allowing ample opportunity for darshan and participation in rituals. Devotees can choose from free darshan, special darshan, or VIP darshan options for their visit.

The temple is particularly renowned for the Satyanarayana Swamy Vratham, which is performed at 9:00 AM, 12:00 PM, and 3:00 PM. Pilgrims can select from basic, inclusive, or premium Vratham packages, with poojas conducted in Telugu and Sanskrit.

The premium Vratham, held at the top of the hill, offers a unique spiritual experience. Festivals are a vibrant part of temple life, with Karthika Masam (October–November), monthly Purnima (Full Moon Days), Ekadashi, and the grand Godavari Pushkaralu (once every 12 years) drawing large crowds.

During these auspicious times, free annadanam is organized, and devotees can also partake in prasadam such as Satyanarayana Swamy Prasadalu, Laddu, and Pulihora. Reaching Gudem Satyanarayana Swamy Temple is convenient.

From Mancherial town, take the road towards Luxettipet for about 15–20 km, then proceed to Gudem village in Dandepally Mandal. The total distance from Mancherial is approximately 32–34 km, with local autos, taxis, and TSRTC buses available.

The nearest railway station is Mancherial Railway Station, 34 km away, and the closest airport is Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad, about 270 km from the temple.

For accommodation, pilgrims can find options in Mancherial town and Luxettipet, with local guesthouses and basic lodges available nearby. Adequate open parking is provided at the hill base, though it can become crowded during festivals.

The temple requests visitors to follow a traditional dress code and prohibits photography inside the sanctum sanctorum, though it is allowed in outer premises and the scenic hill surroundings.

The Gudem Satyanarayana Swamy Temple stands as a living heritage temple, offering a serene and spiritually enriching experience for all devotees.
