About

Bhathiji Maharaj Temple Fagvel, also known locally as Fagvel Bhathiji Mandir or Shree Veer Bhathiji Maharaj Mandir, is a renowned pilgrimage centre and village temple located in Fagvel, Kheda district, Gujarat.

This living heritage temple, managed by the Shree Bhathiji Maharaj Mandir Trust and built by the Rathod Takhatsinhji lineage, attracts devotees from across the region seeking blessings and spiritual solace.

The temple features a mixed and renovated architectural style, reflecting its evolving history and the devotion of its caretakers. Bhathiji Maharaj Temple is open daily from 5:00 AM to 9:00 PM, offering ample time for pilgrims to participate in darshan and rituals.

Free darshan is available for all visitors, making it accessible to everyone. Daily poojas at the temple include the Morning Aarti at 5:00 AM and the Evening Aarti at 6:00 PM.

These rituals are conducted in Gujarati, Hindi, and Sanskrit, allowing devotees from various backgrounds to connect with the spiritual atmosphere.

The best times to visit are early morning (5–8 AM), during the evening aarti, on weekdays for a less crowded experience, and especially during the annual brahmotsavam and festival seasons.

The temple celebrates several vibrant festivals, including Diwali & Dev Diwali (Aaso Vad Amas, Kartik), Bhathiji Maharaj’s birth anniversary (Kartik Sud Ekam), Kartik Sud Poonam & Kartik Vad Ekam, Kartik Vad Paancham (all in October-November), Magasar Shukla Purnima or Ghoda Purnima (December-January), and Maha Shukla Dasham (Pran Pratishtha anniversary, February-March).

During major festivals and fairs, annadanam (free mass feeding) is organized, and traditional prasad such as coconut pieces and sweets is distributed after aarti. Daily free meals are also provided, depending on pilgrim influx and donor events.

Devotees are requested to follow the temple’s dress code: men should wear traditional or formal conservative clothing, avoiding shorts or sleeveless attire inside the inner sanctum, while women are encouraged to wear sarees, salwar kameez, or kurtis that cover the shoulders and knees.
