Bala Hanuman Temple Jamnagar

Located on the southeast shore of the scenic Ranmal (Lakhota) Lake in the Government Colony / Nagar Chakla area, this living heritage temple is dedicated to Lord Hanuman, with shrines also for Lord Rama, Goddess Sita, and Lord Lakshmana.

General darshan is available from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM, and entry is free for all visitors.

The evening aarti is particularly recommended for its serene atmosphere, and the winter months from November to February are considered the best time to visit.

The temple observes a modest dress code: men are expected to wear traditional or conservative attire such as trousers, full-length pants, kurtas, or shirts, while women are encouraged to wear sarees, salwar kameez, or kurtis with dupattas.

Revealing clothes and shorts are discouraged to maintain the sanctity of the temple premises.

Bala Hanuman Temple is renowned for its vibrant celebrations of festivals such as Hanuman Jayanti in Chaitra (April), Ram Navami in March–April, Janmashtami & Annakut Mahotsav in August–September, the Annual Foundation Day/Akhand Ramdhun Anniversary on August 1, and Diwali and Hindu New Year in Kartika (October–November).

During major festivals like Janmashtami, Annadanam (free meals) is offered, and prasadam such as Charan Amrit, Vibhuti, and sweets are distributed to devotees.

Reaching the temple is straightforward: arrive in Jamnagar city by train, air, or bus, head to the city center and Lakhota Lake, and proceed to Shri Prembhikshuji Marg on the lake’s southeast corner. Local auto-rickshaws or taxis are readily available.
