Anandeshwar Temple

This ancient temple is dedicated primarily to Lord Shiva and is recognized as a living heritage temple, drawing devotees and visitors throughout the year.

In addition to Lord Shiva, the temple enshrines other deities such as Ganesha, Annapurna, Kartik, Kaal Bhairav, Kali, and Goddess Parvati, making it a significant spiritual destination for devotees seeking darshan and blessings from multiple divine forms.

The Anandeshwar Temple is open daily from 5:00 AM to 11:30 PM, allowing ample time for devotees to participate in rituals and seek darshan.

The temple conducts several poojas throughout the day, including the Mangala Aarti from 5:00 AM to 5:30 AM, Bhog Aarti in the afternoon from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM, and Bhog Aarti in the evening from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM.

All poojas are performed in Hindi and Sanskrit, preserving the traditional spiritual ambiance. Entry for darshan is free, making it accessible to all visitors.

The best time to visit Anandeshwar Temple is during the winter months from November to February, in the morning hours between 8 AM and 12 PM, during evening aarti, or throughout the vibrant festival season.

Mahashivratri (February–March) and the Shravan month (July–August) are especially significant, drawing large crowds of devotees. Reaching the temple is convenient, with Kanpur Central Railway Station just 5 km away and Kanpur Anwarganj Railway Station at 4 km.

From the railway stations, auto-rickshaws, e-rickshaws, and cabs are readily available. Kanpur Civil Airport (Chakeri) is about 17.7 km away, and Lucknow Airport is 93 km from the temple. Local autos and city buses also provide easy access within Kanpur.

Parking is available near the temple, though it can be crowded on Mondays and festival days; visitors are advised to use authorized parking areas and walk to the temple.
