Jeen Mata Temple

This ancient hill temple is dedicated to Goddess Shakti (Amman) as the primary deity, with sanctums also devoted to Lord Shiva, Lord Bhairav, Lord Hanuman, and Sitla Mata. The temple stands as a significant spiritual destination for devotees seeking darshan and blessings from the divine mother.

The temple complex, rebuilt and expanded in the 12th century by Raja Mohil during the reign of Prithviraj Chauhan I, is managed by a local panchayat trust. Its unique location on a hillside offers a serene and uplifting atmosphere for pilgrims.

The temple is accessible by road, with detailed directions: start from Jaipur on NH 48 towards Chomu, continue via SH 37 to Ringas, then proceed to Rewasa, and finally take the approach road to Jeenmata village.

Adequate open-space parking is available near the base, and while wheelchair access is limited due to the terrain, assistance is provided for elderly visitors. Jeen Mata Temple is open for darshan from 4:00 AM to 10:00 PM in summer and 4:30 AM to 9:30 PM in winter.

The best times to visit include early mornings (5–8 AM), during evening aarti, in the winter months (November to February), and especially during festival seasons and the annual brahmotsavam. Free darshan is available to all devotees.

The temple follows a traditional dress code: men are expected to wear kurtas, dhotis, or full-length trousers with modest shirts, while women should opt for sarees, salwar kameez, or ethnic suits that cover shoulders and legs.

Poojas are conducted in Hindi, with daily rituals such as Mangala Aarti & Abhishek at 4:30 AM, Bhog Aarti at 12:00 PM, Evening Aarti at 7:00 PM, and Night Aarti at 9:00 PM. The temple also facilitates Jhadula/Mundan Sanskar ceremonies.

Major festivals celebrated here include Chaitra Navratri Mela (March–April), Ashwin Navratri Mela (September–October), Hariyali Teej, Sinjara, Sharad Poornima Mahotsav, and the Harsh Bhairav Fair.

Prasadam offerings include traditional sweets like pedas, laddus, panchamewa, coconuts, and oil for the perpetual lamp. Food is available in dharamshalas and local markets.
