Harihareshwar Temple

Revered as "Dev-ghar" and often called "Dakshin Kashi," this temple is dedicated primarily to Lord Shiva, with shrines also devoted to Lord Vishnu, Lord Brahma, Maheshwara, Shri Kalbhairav, and Shri Yogeshwari, making it a significant spiritual destination for devotees seeking darshan of multiple deities.

The temple’s roots trace back to the Chola period, with its original foundation laid by the Shilahara dynasty and major renovations undertaken by Bajirao Peshwa in 1723.

Prasadam, such as vibhuti, kumkum, sweets, and fruit, is distributed daily to devotees.

Major festivals celebrated at Harihareshwar Temple include Kartik Utsav and Kalbhairav Jayanti in October-November, Mahashivratri in February-March, and Ram Navami in March-April, drawing pilgrims from across Maharashtra and beyond.

Visitors are encouraged to wear traditional or modest clothing—dhotis, kurtas, and trousers for men; sarees, salwar kameez, or kurtis for women. Photography is restricted inside the main sanctums and worship areas, but exterior photos are permitted.
