About

Dada Siba Radha Krishna Temple stands as a revered pilgrimage centre in the historic village area of Dada Siba, Kangra district, Himachal Pradesh.

Also known locally as the Radha-Krishna Temple or Dada-Siba Temple, this ancient hill temple is dedicated primarily to Lord Krishna, with sanctified presence of Radha, Rukmini, guardian deities (Dwarpalas), Krishna with cowherds, and Kaliya Naag.

The temple’s unique architecture and tranquil hilltop setting draw devotees and visitors seeking spiritual solace and a glimpse of Himachal’s cultural heritage. The temple is open daily from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM, offering free darshan for all visitors.

Morning and evening aartis are performed in Hindi, creating a serene and devotional atmosphere. Devotees can partake in the spiritual rituals and receive prasadam—devotional sweets or mishri—especially during aartis and major festivals.

While there is no regular daily annadanam, the festive distribution of prasadam adds to the temple’s vibrant religious life. Festivals are an important aspect of the temple’s calendar, with Janmashtami and Radhashtami celebrated during August–September and September–October, respectively.

These occasions transform the temple into a hub of devotional activity, attracting pilgrims from across the region.

The best time to visit is during the morning hours (8 AM–12 PM), as well as in the winter (November–February) and summer (March–May) months, when the weather is pleasant for darshan and exploration.

Visitors are requested to adhere to a modest dress code: men should wear full-length trousers or jeans with shirts or kurtas, while women are encouraged to wear traditional or conservative attire such as salwar kameez, sarees, or full-length dresses with dupattas.

Shorts and sleeveless clothing are discouraged inside the inner shrine. Reaching Dada Siba Radha Krishna Temple is convenient via several routes. The nearest railway stations are Pathankot Junction (65 km away) and Guler Railway Station. Kangra Airport (Gaggal) is about 45 km from the temple.

From these points, visitors can hire local taxis or board state-transport buses towards Kangra or the Pragpur-Dehra route, navigating state highways to reach Dadasiba village, which is approximately 50 km from Kangra town and 22 km from Pragpur.

Informal roadside parking and small open spaces are available near the temple, though there is no dedicated parking lot, and wheelchair accessibility is limited due to the traditional structure.

For accommodation, pilgrims can choose from heritage hotels in Pragpur (22 km), guesthouses and homestays in Dehra Gopipur and Jaswan valley, or hotels in Kangra (50 km) and Dharamshala (65 km).

Nearby attractions include Pragpur Heritage Village, Kaleshwar Mahadev Temple, Garli Village, and Kangra Fort & Brajeshwari Temple, offering a rich cultural and spiritual itinerary for visitors to the region.

Photography is permitted in the outer courtyards and facade areas, but restrictions apply inside the main sanctum and for wall murals. Commercial video equipment requires prior permission.

The Dada Siba Radha Krishna Temple, built by Raja Ram Singh of Siba/Jaswan state, is recognized as a state heritage site, making it a significant destination for devotees and heritage enthusiasts alike.
