About

Barshi Bhagwant Temple, also known locally as Bhagwant Mandir or Shri Bhagwant Temple, is a revered ancient temple and pilgrimage centre situated in the Mangalwar Peth / Mangire Mala area near Bhagwant Maidan in Barshi, Solapur district, Maharashtra.

Dedicated primarily to Lord Vishnu, this temple is unique in its spiritual and cultural significance, drawing devotees from across the region.

The sanctum also houses other deities including Goddess Lakshmi, Lord Dattatreya, Garuda, and features a Shivlinga on the Vishnu idol, along with depictions of King Ambrish and the footprints of Sage Bhrigu. The temple is renowned for its daily rituals and vibrant festival celebrations.

Devotees can participate in various poojas such as the early morning Kakada Arti at 5:00 AM, Nitya Pooja & Mahapooja in the morning, Dhuparti in the evening, and Shejarti at night. The Chabina Procession, held every full moon (Pournima) night, is a special event that attracts many pilgrims.
