Tulja Bhavani Temple

Dedicated to Goddess Shakti (Amman), this temple draws devotees from across India, especially during the vibrant festival seasons and auspicious Tuesdays.

The temple is open daily from 4:00 AM to 10:00 PM, with the best time for darshan being early mornings between 5–8 AM, during the winter months (November to February), or throughout major festivals.

Pilgrims can choose between free darshan and special darshan options, with special entry available at INR 200 and INR 500.

For those seeking a deeper spiritual experience, a range of poojas are conducted in Sanskrit and Marathi, including Abhishek Pooja (6:00 AM–10:00 AM, 7:00 PM–9:00 PM), Panchamrit Abhishek, Ooti Puja/Saree-Choli Offering, Kumkum Archana, Gondhal Puja, and Sinhasan Mahapuja/Alankar Mahapuja, with prices varying from INR 749 to INR 3499.

Tulja Bhavani Temple is an epicentre for major Hindu festivals such as Sharad Navratri (Mahashardiyotsav) in September–October, Chaitra Navratri and Gudi Padwa in March–April, Chaitra Purnima Yatra, Shakambari Navratri in December–January, and weekly Tuesday processions (Chabbina).

During these times, annadanam and Mahaprasad are distributed, and traditional prasad like ladoos, kumkum, and turmeric are available.

Visitors are expected to adhere to a traditional dress code: men should wear kurta-pyjama, full-length pants with shirt, or dhoti, while women are required to wear saree, salwar-kameez, or skirt/kurta with dupatta.

Shorts, sleeveless attire, and revealing clothes are not permitted in the core sanctum. Reaching Tulja Bhavani Temple is convenient. Pilgrims can travel to Dharashiv (Osmanabad) or Solapur by train, bus, or car, then take an MSRTC bus or taxi to Tuljapur.

The temple is a short walk (500 m to 1 km) from the Tuljapur ST Bus Stand. The nearest railway stations are Dharashiv (25 km), Solapur (40 km), and Tuljapur Railway Station (TGP). Solapur Airport is 51 km away, with Pune, Aurangabad, and Hyderabad airports also accessible.
