Mangadu Kamakshi Amman Temple, located in Mangadu, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, is a revered Shakti Peetha and an important pilgrimage centre for devotees of Goddess Shakti.

This ancient temple, also known locally as Mangadu Temple, showcases the architectural grandeur of the Chola period, reflecting the region's rich heritage and spiritual significance.

The temple is dedicated primarily to Goddess Shakti, worshipped here as Kamakshi Amman, and also features the Sri Ardhameru Chakram within its sanctum. Mangadu Kamakshi Amman Temple is renowned for its vibrant spiritual atmosphere and draws pilgrims from across Tamil Nadu and beyond.

The temple operates with distinct timings: on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, devotees can visit from 6:00 AM to 1:30 PM and again from 3:00 PM to 8:45 PM.

On Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, the temple remains open continuously from 5:00 AM to 9:30 PM, making it convenient for visitors to plan their darshan.

The best time to visit is during the mornings between 8 AM and 12 PM, especially in the winter months from November to February, and on weekdays when the temple is less crowded.

Devotees can choose from various darshan entry types, including free darshan, Seeghra darshan options priced at ₹20 and ₹50, and a VIP darshan facility.

The temple also offers a range of poojas such as Kumkuma Archana, Milk Naivedyam (₹10), Mudi Kaanikai or hair offering (₹20), and Sahasranamam Archana (₹20). The ManaMakkal Special Entrance is available for ₹300.

Abhishekam is performed on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Poojas are conducted in both Tamil and Sanskrit, catering to the diverse devotee base.

Mangadu Kamakshi Amman Temple celebrates several festivals, including Navratri (Chaitra and Sharada), Brahmotsavam, Chitra Pournami, Aadi Pooram, Niraimani Katchi, Deepam, Arudhra Dharshan, and Thai Poosam, drawing large crowds during these auspicious times.
